Good evening, everyone. Thank you for joining us today. This is part two of our Cardio Obstetrics series. This is brought to you in conjunction between SCCHI as well as ACC and also by our industry sponsors, including AbbioMed, Keazy, as well as Edwards Life Sciences. Tonight, we're going to be discussing cardiogenic shock, valvular disease, and PE in pregnancy. This is our agenda for this evening. I'm going to give a brief introduction and some prerequisite slides from SCCHI. We're going to hear lectures on cardiogenic shock, valvular heart disease, and pulmonary embolism. My name is Kee Park. I'm an interventional cardiologist at the University of Florida and I also run our Women's Cardiovascular Health Services Program. I also practice cardio obstetrics and I'm head of the co-chair of the ACC Cardio Obstetrics Work Group. I am extremely excited to present to you this series of lectures this evening. I'll be introducing each of the speakers before each of their individual talks. We'll have three talks and then we'll have time at the end for a panel discussion. I'll go ahead and introduce our panelists. Our first panelist is Dr. Susan Barron. She's an interventional cardiologist specializing in structural heart interventions and director of interventional cardiology research at Laney Hospital and Medical Center. Her research focuses on evaluating the effects of cardiovascular diseases on patient-reported outcomes and healthcare costs, as well as using model-based approaches to identify optimal patient populations for treatment with novel technologies. Our second panelist is Dr. Mustafa Ahmed. He's an associate professor at the University of Florida Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. He specializes in advanced heart failure, ventricular assist devices, and transplantation. Also serves as the section chief of heart failure and medical director of the mechanical circulatory support program at University of Florida. Thank you for our panelists for joining the discussion this evening.
