Welcome everyone to this webinar on the Expert Consensus Statement on Transcatheter Lep Atrial Penis Closure. It's my pleasure to have an esteemed panelist here today to join us.  My name is Jacqueline Song from Vancouver University of British Columbia and my co-moderator  is Dr. David Holmes from Mayo Clinic and our panelists are Dr. Clifford Kavinsky from Rush University, Dr. Didi Wang from Henry Ford in Detroit, Dr. Brian Wisnett from Intermountain  Utah and Dr. James Freeman from Yale University. And hopefully you've had a chance to review this  document already and as you know this is a Expert Consensus Statement. There are 14 co-authors all  together with multi-societal representations from SCI, HRS, ACC and SCCT and we're absolutely  delighted that we have this document published just a couple of weeks ago. It's been an effort  that took over two years during the COVID pandemic to get this published and so we feel and we think  that this document hopefully will be helpful to implanters and as well as imagers supporting this  procedure. So if you had a chance to review the document you see that the beginning of the  document includes the recommendations summarized in 13 statements and the data and the evidence  supporting these recommendations are in the rest of the document. And we addressed important areas  including patient selection, physician and institutional requirements of performing LA  closure, period procedural and post-procedural imaging, procedural complications and how to avoid  them and antithrombotic regimen recommendations post-LAC and these will be what we'll be discussing today in our agenda for this webinar. And so we should have about 20 minutes for  discussion at the end of the session so please feel free to place your questions into the Q&A  portion and we'll address this. The pertinent ones we'll discuss after each talk. It's my pleasure to  introduce our first speaker who is Dr. David Holmes and he will speak on patient selection criteria.
