Welcome, everyone. Thank you for waking up so early. My name is June Lee. I'm one of the co-chairs of this roundtable. Next to me, we have Drew Klein. He's the chair of the BDC, the Vascular Disease Council, as well as the co-chair of this roundtable. This is our inaugural roundtable for pulmonary embolism treatment, so we'd love to hear any feedback that you have for us as we continue this progress in the next 20 years. Right now, we are truly on the precipice of greatness for pulmonary embolism. So many different catheters are upcoming that we can perform large-bore thrombectomy with, and truly, interventional cardiology should be at the seat of pulmonary embolism management. At the heart of it, and pardon the pun so early in the morning, at the heart of it, PE is a ventricular problem—it's a heart problem—and needs to be taken care of by interventional cardiologists. We are the ones that are well-versed in multiple different modalities, including performing right heart cath, RV support catheters if needed, and obviously, ECMO if needed. So I think without further ado, we'll start with the first session. Dr. Peter Montemiglione from UT Austin will be moderating our session. I'd love to invite up our speakers to be part of the panel as well.
