Video Summary
A survey of 466 interventional cardiologists and fellows examined intravascular imaging use in coronary intervention. Most respondents were from the U.S., and many worked in academic hospitals. Nearly half of labs used IVUS/OCT in fewer than 25% of cases. The main barriers were added procedure time, cost, and difficulty interpreting images; some felt imaging was unnecessary for PCI. Respondents said higher professional and technical reimbursement, dedicated training, hands-on staff training, and better education materials would increase use. ISCHI plans to build educational resources and collect important cases.
