Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this initiative participants will be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Review the impact of optimized care pathways and the cusp overlap technique (COT) on reducing complications such as permanent pacemaker implantation and aortic regurgitation.
  • Analyze the importance of implantation depth, guidewire selection, and adherence to the 4-step COT in achieving consistent and reproducible results.
  • Use strategies for conduction disturbance management, including the use of post-procedure ECG algorithms and Holter monitoring to minimize sudden cardiac death and unnecessary PPI.
  • Explore the impact of TAVR on patient-reported outcomes, including Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ) scores and New York Heart Association (NYHA) classification.
  • Identify factors contributing to variability in outcomes across centers and strategies to overcome challenges in protocol adherence and training.
