Clinical Conversation: Coronary Compliance Modification by Intravascular Lithotripsy: New Predictor of Stent Expansion in Calcified Coronary Lesions
Program Description
The treatment of heavily calcified coronary lesions remains a significant challenge in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). This discussion reviewa the significance of coronary artery compliance in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and the role of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) in improving coronary artery compliance for better stent expansion outcomes. Listen to explore how coronary artery compliance can be used as a predictive marker for procedural success, enhancing both the safety and effectiveness of PCI in patients with heavily calcified coronary lesions.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1.  Understand the concept of coronary artery compliance (CACom) and its significance in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for heavily calcified coronary lesions.
  2.  Analyze the impact of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) on coronary artery compliance and its correlation with stent expansion outcomes.
  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of coronary artery compliance as a predictor for stent expansion and procedural success in PCI.
