Overview

This activity covers a series challenging cath lab scenarios. The faculty will review the evidence base that guides our decision-making and demonstrate through cases the nuances of applying data to real-life patients, interpreting advanced invasive diagnostic testing, and optimizing interventional procedures.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

Define ischemia and non-obstructive coronary artery disease (INOCA) and the optimal setting for microvascular testing.
Review the role of intravascular imaging and adjunctive non-invasive imaging in non-atherothrombotic coronary events.
Recognize prognostic indicators of a good-survival potential for patients who present with out-of-hospital arrest.
Define the role of the cath lab, including ECPR, neuroprotective hypothermia, and PCI in patients with out-of-hospital arrest.
Compare the pros and cons of completing revascularization in one procedure vs prior to discharge.
