COVID-19 and Acute Myocardial Infarction
Course Description
Faculty authors discuss guidance from the recent publication "Management of Acute Myocardial Infarction During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Consensus Statement from the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), American College of Cardiology (ACC), and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP)".
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, participants should able to:
1. Compare clinical presentations of STEMI, cardiogenic shock, out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), and non-STEMI.
2. Discuss the coordination of the emergency department, emergency medical systems, and cardiac catheterization labs.
3. Prepare for challenges in regional STEMI systems of care.
4. Develop appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procedures for health care workers.
